Harriet Tubman Unit Study
What I've Been Reading: Young Adult

To Be Read: June

I have a lot of things I want to read but here are four books that are downloaded on my kindle or on my shelves. I have came out of my slight reading slump and now I'm ready to ignore all responsibilities and just read. That's healthy, right? Plus, it's been so long since I have done a Top Ten Tuesday! There's a few on the list I want to join in on.

Facebook Post

Uprooted | A Beauty and the Beast retelling which is my absolute favorite to read. I have had it on my shelf for a little while now and can't wait to dive in.

Spells Trouble | A netgalley ebook I am currently making my way through. It's got twin descendants from a real witch of Salem and underworld monsters. I'm thinking I'll like it.

Fat Chance, Charlie Vega | Fat Brown Girl....Yes Please! I adore all the fat representation that's coming/has come out this year.

The Last Thing He Told Me | A Reese's Book Club pick that I snagged from BJ's. I am not much on thrillers but I keep giving them a try.

8 x 4 in (3)

The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot | I have since these one a bit on bookstagram and had to pick it up as well. It also has the name Margot in the title so I need it (my youngest daughter's name is Margot)

The Hazel Wood | I have no idea what this is about but I've heard peeps say it's dark and rich and there is or are a fairy-tale and that sounds like what I want to read.

Kate In Waiting | A YA I saw in the new releases shelf of our library. Looks good!

The Friend Zone | A romance I am so psyched to get to!

People tend to be very hit or miss with The Hazel Wood, but I enjoyed it - and it's not normally one I'd pick up and read!

I hope you enjoy Uprooted and The Hazel Wood more than I did.

THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME sounds really good! I can't wait to read it, too.

Happy TTT!

I've heard really excellent things about The Last Thing He Told Me

Hope you enjoy these

I have Spells Trouble and The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot on my TBR. I hope to read Spells Trouble this summer.

I listened to the audiobook for Fat Chance, Charlie Vega, earlier this year. I was excited because of the plus-sized representation. But I found the book a bit slow to start, but it did get a bit better.
